Altrix has rapidly established the largest
specialist oral fluid testing laboratory in Europe. Based on its core
drug and disease testing products, Altrix has developed tailored services
for health, criminal justice and corporate customers.
Altrix can analyse your Intercept®
samples at two different levels. Initial drug screening is widely
used to determine the presence or absence of drugs or their metabolites.
These drug groups are identified by immunoassay testing. The confirmation
service is more detailed and will identify and quantify which particular
substances are present in the sample.
In addition to ISO 17025:2005 (UKAS) quality accreditation Altrix has
set up a specific oral fluid External Quality Assessment Scheme for
laboratories worldwide. The confirmation methods are fully validated
and have been accredited by UKAS as part of the ISO 17025 standard.
These measures ensure that the quality of the service you receive
stands up to rigorous scrutiny - particularly important when legal
defensibility is required.
The Intercept®
device & assays have received 510(k) approval and all carry the
CE mark, meeting the IVDD requirements that came into effect from
December 7th 2003.
