Oral Muscosal Transudate (OMT)

Fundamental to our success has been our exclusive oral sample that is collected quickly and painlessly from the mouth, eliminating the inconvenience of collecting a blood or urine sample. Collection is made with either an Intercept^® device for drugs of abuse or an OraSure^® device for blood borne viruses. The sample collected is known as Oral Mucosal Transudate (OMT), which is an ultra-filtrate of blood and is ideal not only to detect drugs and their metabolites but also to screen for blood borne viruses and other disease markers.
