Chain of Custody

Strict Chain of Custody guidelines have been developed for legally defensible workplace drug testing and the Intercept^® collection method will comply with the essence of these guidelines.

	Collection by a trained collector in a secure area
	Photographic or managerial proof of donor ID
	Takes just 2 minutes and is backed up by full chain of custody procedures, accurate laboratory analysis and expert scrutiny.
	Can be collected anytime and almost anywhere, either by a trained member of staff or an external collector.
	Completion of a Chain of custody form with:
		date & time of sample collection
		Names & signatures of all sample custodians
		Information identifying the donor
		Signed donor consent
	Donor declaration of recent medication
	Barcode link between samples and form
	Signed, dated tamper evident seals
	Screening using approved immunoassays and procedures
	Confirmation of positive screen results by GC/MS
	Medical review for confirmed positive results
	Storage of a sealed second sample for 1 year
